Imo College of Education, Isinweke renamed to Sen. Ben Uwajumogu’s COE
The Governor of Imo State Sen. Hope Uzodinma renames Imo college of education after late Sen. Benjamin Uwajumogu, a former speaker of Imo state house of Assembly and a senator representing Imo North Senatorial District at the senate up till his death.
The governor who spoke during the burial of Uwajumogu at his country home in Isinweke, Ihitte/ Uboma Local Government Area of the state, said that Nigeria had lost a patriotic citizens.
Uzodinma said that he had communicated with the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Collins Chiji to begin the process of putting legislative backing to the renaming of the college after the departed lawmaker.
Describing Uwajumogu as his political ally who fought many political battles and triumphed together, the governor said that Nigerian would miss Uwajumogu’s services, Gov. Uzodinma said that Uwajumogu attracted development to his people and would have done more if death had spared him.
Ben Uwajumogu was a great fighter and has fought many political battles won. Nigeria has lost a great gem, Imo State has lost a great son, Sleep Well.
