Nigeria’s Men’s National team captain, Ahmed Musa alongside Iheanacho and other Super Eagles stars have arrived the National camp for the country’s upcoming 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sierra Leone.

The game which will be played in Benin, Nigeria will be the Super Eagles’ third match. They are currently the group leaders, topping Group L with six points from two games. Their opponents, Sierra Leone, occupy the fourth position with only a point registered so far.

Belgium-based striker, Paul Onuachu will have another chance to redeem himself after unimpressive displays against Algeria in their last friendly encounter.

Ahmed Musa is not the only player to have arrived camp, as he is joined by former club teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho in the Super Eagles setup.

Naijawide reported that 28-year-old Musa was recently released by Saudi club, Al Nassr where he played for 2 years after moving from English Premier League side, Leicester City. He won a league title in Saudi Arabia before being found surplus to requirements.

The Super Eagles captain is currently a free agent, but has been linked with a move to several clubs as the January transfer window approaches.

Kelechi Iheanacho has been in scintillating form for the foxes in all competitions and Nigerians will be expecting he can carry his good form into the encounter with Sierra Leone.

Musa and Iheanacho are joined by goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu according to a statement released by the Super Eagles.

Nigeria finished third at the 2019 African Cup of Nations held in Egypt beating Tunisia after losing to eventual champions, Algeria in the semi-finals.
