President Buhari missed the Commissioning of the First Modular Refinery In Imo State.

The President of Nigeria Buhari missed the Commissioning of the First Modular Refinery In Imo State, but i will assume that he was Virtually present and fully represented by Imi state Governor, Gov. Uzodimma.

Today, the Governor commissioned a 5000 Barrel per day capacity of Modular Refinery, the first of it’s kind in the entire country and sited in Imo State and built by Waltersmith Group which makes it a privately owned Refinery.

On behalf of President Buhari, the Governor expressed delight as the 5000 BPD Modular Refinery programmed to expand to 50,000 Barrel Per Day will terminate importation of Petroleum products, increase employment opportunities and increase the availability of petrol in Nigeria particularly in Imo State.

On his behalf, the Imo State Governor expressed joy for such historic milestone to be achieved during his Administration.

He further commended the president for encouraging a private owned company and establishment in a public driven economy.
He however urged the Waltersmith Group that built the Refinery to ensure the host communities feel their presence through social responsibilities.
