Acting Chief Judge Of Imo State Sworn-in Today by Governor Hope Uzodimma
His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has sworn-in Justice Theresa Eberechukwu Chukwuemeka-Chikeka as the Acting Chief Judge of Imo State.
The Governor acted in response to section 271, sub-section 4 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, which abhors vaccum in the position and therefore empowered the Governor to appoint the most senior High Court Judge, as an Acting Chief Judge.
In his speech during the swearing in ceremony today at the Government House Exco Chambers, His Excellency expressed confidence that the Acting Chief Judge would consolidate on the judicial system with reforms that would further demystify our judicial processes.
Governor Hope Uzodimma congratulated the former Chief Judge for her meritorious service to the State, praying for God’s grace in abundance upon her.
