Southeast Labour Party Commends Peter Obi Support Groups For Having Presence At The Grassroots

Support groups for Peter Obi in the South East have been commended for having strong presence at the polling booths. The South East National vice chairman of the party, Chief Innocent Okeke said this on Saturday in Owerri during the harmonization exercise of the various Peter Obi support groups in the state.

During the harmonization meeting which had hundreds of people in attendance, representing over seventy Peter Obi support groups, Chief Okeke stated that it’s now time for the groups to synchronize with the party’s structure especially at the booth level to ensure harmony. He called on the support groups to also support the party candidates at the various levels because they are the needed structures that will drive the message of the party in the various political constituents.

Speaking also during the occasion, the State Chairman of the Party, Dr. Ambrose Onyekwere, appreciated the support groups for the awareness they have created for both Peter Obi and Labour party and enjoined them to continue to boost the support for the party. He assured of a level playing field for all in the party, insisting that Labour Party is different from other parties because the party upholds integrity just as Peter Obi does.

Others who spoke at the occasion include the State Publicity Secretary, Comr. Obidinma Aku, the South East Coordinator of the coalition for Peter Obi support groups, Rev. Fr. Maduabuchukwu, the Imo State Coordinator, Comrade Viginus Anukanti, among others. The State Working committee of the party as well as all the twenty seven LGA Chairmen, Secretaries, Youth leaders and Women leaders attended the meeting.
