Labour Party Lawmaker Uche Ugwu Emerges Enugu State House of Assembly Speaker
In a surprising turn of events, Uche Ugwu, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) representing Udi North State Constituency, has been elected as the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly. During the session, Iloabuchi Aniagu, representing Nkanu West State Constituency, nominated Uche Ugwu for the position of Speaker. The motion was supported by Chukwudi Nwankwo, the member-elect for Awgu South. With no other nominations presented, Uche Ugwu was duly declared the Speaker by the Clerk.
