#Tragedy: Seven men shot dead by unknown gunmen along Etekwuru/Assa Road in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
Earlier today, Six workers and one Mobile Policeman attached to Lee Engineering and Construction Company Limited were ambushed and shot dead on their way to Assa from Etekwuru in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, today Monday 16th August 2021.
Lee Engineering and Construction Company Limited is the major contractor handling the Assa North/Ohaji South Primary Gas Treatment Facility for Shell Petroleum Development Company at Assa in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area
One of survivors who narrowly escaped death by whiskers narrated that the unknown gunmen later escaped into the forest after having killed the oil workers.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the State only confirmed 4 dead when it was actually 7 persons that lost their lives today.
