A Blogger without a website
Is that person a blogger?

In today’s digital age, it’s not uncommon to come across individuals who identify themselves as bloggers without actually having a website.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn offer ample opportunities for people to share their thoughts and opinions with a large audience, it’s essential to recognize the difference between being a social media influencer and a blogger.

A blogger is someone who creates original content on a website or a blog. They invest time, effort, and resources into building a platform that is unique to them, and they use this platform to showcase their work, voice their opinions, and share their experiences with the world. They use their blog to build an online presence, establish credibility, and connect with their audience.

On the other hand, a social media influencer is someone who uses social media platforms to share their views and opinions with their followers. They often work with brands to promote products and services and use their large following to increase brand awareness and drive sales. While there is nothing wrong with being a social media influencer, it’s essential to recognize that it’s a different role than being a blogger.

Unfortunately, some individuals who do not have a website or a blog often refer to themselves as bloggers, and they end up taking jobs meant for bloggers. They collect money from clients and then turn to real bloggers to help them put their content on their website. This is not only unethical but also unfair to the clients who pay for their services.

To avoid this confusion, it’s essential to be clear about the services you offer and to make sure that you have the necessary skills and tools to deliver on your promises. If you want to be a blogger, you need to create a website, invest in quality content, and work on building a strong online presence. If you want to be a social media influencer, you need to focus on building a large following, engaging with your audience, and working with brands that align with your values.

In conclusion, if you want to call yourself a blogger, make sure you have a website and the necessary skills to create quality content. If you don’t have a website, it’s okay to call yourself a social media influencer, but don’t take jobs meant for bloggers and be clear about the services you offer. Remember, building trust and credibility with your clients is essential in any business, and misrepresenting yourself can harm your reputation in the long run.
